Do you take any equity from teams joining the incubator? Does the participation cost anything?
We take zero equity from your startup. And the participation is for free. When you pitch to a pool of selected investors and partners, they might make you an offer though. :-)
How many teams will you invite in the 2024 batch?
We are aiming for 15–20 high-potential teams.
What if I am alone?
Do not worry, you can still join our incubator. You will have to find your colleagues during the first three months. No stress, we will help you find your co-founders in time. There will be networking events as well as our matchmaking service.
We are two. Is that a team?
Yep. As the saying goes, two make a company. However, your team may and is welcome to have more members.
What if some team members change during incubation?
That is fine. At least one original team member has to last until your graduation day - the final demo.
When does the incubation start?
We are starting on 4 March 2024 with a kick-off event that you can join in person or online. The incubation will finish with a pitching session organized in June. We feel this should provide you with just the right amount of time to find your way round the healthcare industry, find the right mentors, incorporate your own company and get ready for the big world.
What do I get?
Opportunity to get, during the period of nine months, serious about what you want to do with your life. We will provide you with the support of top medical, technical, legal, regulatory, and marketing mentors, a dedicated project manager, a chance to build your prototype with market validation and sell your healthtech solution to clients and investors. You will pitch your healthtech startup to clients and investors and become a member of a growing community of global healthcare movers and shakers. See the benefits HERE or ask via e-mail.
What is expected of me?
Passion, curiosity, willingness to learn and dedication with time flexibility. There are bi-weekly progress check-ups, roughly 10 workshops and 10 other events. And of course, 1to1 expert mentoring session on demand. Before the final demo, you should incorporate a company so that investors and clients can strike a deal with your startup.
What will it cost me?
Just hard work. And of course, a chance for our partners to be the first ones to make use of your prototype.
Do I have to work in your Prague office?
No, you do not. However, you are invited to pop in anytime. There will be a desk for you ready as well as a delicious cup of coffee. You may use our multimedia meeting room for your calls and team meetings. All main events will be held in a hybrid format, so you do not miss out on anything.
Who will I meet?
You will meet a number of mentors and other healthtech teams. We will hold a number of networking events where we can all hang out and get to know each other. Expect top medical professionals, software and hardware gurus, lawyers, intellectual property experts, marketers and multimedia wizards to be working on your success.
Can I get a financial injection from investors sooner than at the very end of the incubator?
Yes, after three months, you will be able to pitch your idea to investors and our partners.
Do I have to use FHIR cloud platform by InterSystems to build my prototype in the incubator?
Well, you do not. But we believe that we will easily convince you to try it. InterSystem is the global leader in healthcare data solutions and if you are after unicorns, then look no further. We will get in touch with you shortly with an interview invite. If you succeed, we will formally invite you in February 2024 to join Caelestinus starting 4 March 2023.
